The Pursuit of AGI Resolves the Three-Body Problem in Computing
AGI means artificial general intelligence, a machine able to do most intellectual work a person can. Large engineering failures often start where one group hands work to another and an assumption is never written down. This paper defines those handoffs, states when checking them makes a system stable, and gives tests that could prove it wrong.
In plain words
- Most big computer failures happen at the handoff between teams or parts, not inside them.
- The cause is usually a guess nobody wrote down, like which units a number is in.
- If every such guess is written down and checked by a machine, a fix made in one place stays fixed and does not break anything above it.
